2026 Taiwan Honey Competition, hosted by the Taiwan Beekeeping Association, has announced its results!

Did you know that the honey quality evaluation competition is like a job interview? There's a preliminary evaluation and a re-evaluation?

Step 1: Instrumental Initial Evaluation
The Central Animal Husbandry Association conducts seven tests according to the CNS1305 national standard, two categories of antibiotic testing for 11 types, and 412 pesticide residue tests. Only honey that passes these tests will advance to the next round.

Step 2: Expert Re-Evaluation
A total of 17 experts from industry, government, and academia will conduct a sensory evaluation of color, aroma, flavor, and other aspects to ensure that every drop of winning honey is of the highest quality.
